Nick Milner

Area(s) of Responsibility

I am responsible for the management of teaching and teaching operations for York Courses. My role involves overseeing training for the department as well as developing and maintaining effective procedures for the academic programmes. I also project manage and teach on educational programmes for both students and staff. Additionally, I am involved in planning, marketing and business development with the senior team.

Professional Interests

My professional interests include teacher training, professional development and the Internationalisation of Higher Education.

External Activities

I have worked as a freelance writer and editor for Oxford University Press and Macmillan Heinemann and as a Cambridge examiner. “Managing Learning Cultures in the EFL Classroom” (IATEFL Conference, 2010)   

Further Information

I previously worked at language schools in Spain and the UK as an ELT teacher and Director of Studies before spending 6 years working as Head of the International Department at a private secondary school. I hold a Diploma in ELT and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching as well as a Diploma in ELT Management.
