Student Connect

Student Connect re-launched on Friday 15th October.

If you are struggling to make friends, or just like getting to know new people, Student Connect is an innovative buddying scheme that matches students from their course or college, allowing them to expand their Uni network.

The Student Buddying Scheme

The Student Buddying Scheme matches new undergraduates with a Student Buddy. These students have a first point of contact who will share their own experiences and be on hand (either in person or over email) with friendly advice.

Colleges

Colleges run many activities and events as well as having committees and volunteering opportunities for students to get involved with.  They also provide listening ear/support services that can help support students in getting involved with clubs and societies and meeting new people.

 UoY Colleges

This links lists all of the University’s colleges and provides links to their individual websites where you can find contact information.

YUSU Clubs and Societies

YUSU provides lots of information and support for the social side of University life.  The clubs and society directory is particularly useful.
