In order for assessments to be completed in time to take decisions about student progression and the award of degrees, the University requires that end of year examinations take place in Weeks 5-7 of the third (summer) term of each year. However, although your exams will be over by Week 7, you should be aware that other important activities will be scheduled for Weeks 8-10 of the summer term. In Year 1 and Year 2 these weeks will form part of the assessed mini-projects, and in Year 2 they will also be used in preparing for third year study, including preliminary work on Literature Surveys. In Year 3, there will be a Leaving Day with a social event and the opportunity to present the results of completed Projects to staff and students.
