The University of York has invested £2.5 million in a new high performance computing cluster, Viking. The cluster has been designed to meet a wide mix of research requirements with the aim that all academics will be able to use it for their research. It will be available to all researchers, including students, and will be free of charge to use.
This will be a 'show and tell' session to give you an overview on how Viking is configured and how to use it.
It is assumed that you are familiar with HPC systems, and have submitted jobs to facilities such as YARCC and N8-HPC.
